Birmingham City Church recently underwent a major renovation to modernise its worship space. One of the key updates was the installation of a large LED wall by TenAV, designed to enhance the visual impact of worship services and special events.

Birmingham City Church has a rich history, having been established in the early 1900s. Over the years, it has undergone several renovations and expansions to accommodate its growing congregation and provide updated facilities for worship and community engagement. The most recent installation of a large LED wall by TenAV is part of the church’s ongoing efforts to modernise its worship space and provide a more immersive and engaging experience for its members.
The LED wall was designed to provide an immersive and engaging experience for the congregation and visitors. The installation of a large LED wall in a church environment presented a number of challenges for the TenAV project team. One of the main challenges was the need to integrate the LED wall seamlessly into the existing worship space. The wall had to be installed in such a way that it did not obstruct the view of the altar or interfere with the acoustics of the room. Additionally, the team had to ensure that the LED wall was easy to operate and maintain, as the church had limited resources for technology support.
To overcome these challenges, we partnered with a leading provider of LED wall solutions (Visualisation UK) to design and install a custom MacroPix LED wall solution. The wall was designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing worship space and was mounted on a custom-built structure that did not obstruct the view of the altar or impact the acoustics of the room. Additionally, the team designed a simple and intuitive user interface that made it easy for church staff to operate and maintain the LED wall.
The installation of the LED wall has had a significant impact on the worship experience at Birmingham City Church. The wall provides a visually stunning backdrop for worship services and special events, enhancing the overall impact of the services. The LED wall also provides a flexible platform for displaying video content, allowing the church to create dynamic and engaging experiences for the congregation. Additionally, the LED wall has greatly reduced the need for traditional projection equipment, freeing up valuable space in the worship area and reducing maintenance and repair costs.
